Taking it easy...

***Miles travelled today: Not too many...

***Total Miles:
***States travelled through: Stayed in Ontario...

So yesterday was a very easy day... we stayed in most of the day, simply catching up with washing and ironing, sorting out photos and our journalling and reading and relaxing... we went out for supper and then on return Jay and Tia sat for hours doing the family tree... although we had planned to go to the H-U-G-E mall, Jay and Tia sat talking most of the day and missed the opportunity to shop... I can't quite believe it myself... whilst they were catching up, I have sorted out accommodation for the next few days, so on Wednesday we are off to Niagara on the Lake, where we will be spending Wednesday night, and then we've booked into a hotel at Niagara Falls for Thursday and Friday... on Saturday we will be driving through Buffalo, so we will be trying to contact your family Ann in order to try and catch up with your mom, and meet your brother and family!!!

We decided that we would go into Toronto today... Jay was fantastic with the driving... people seem to stick to the speed limits in the States - well, they certainly don't stick to them in Canada!!!

Anyway, we went downtown, to the CN tower... we all went up to the observation deck and then Jay and I went further up to the sky pod and the glass floor level!!! We took numerous photos... some of which we have included... (Together with one of Jay doing the family tree from yesterday...) After the tower we stopped for a bite to eat in the restaurant... then walked down to the lake front!!! Seeing Lake Ontario is just unbelievable... it's weird to think that it is NOT the ocean... have added another website to the handy websites section on the CN Tower!!!

Jay is out washing the car at the moment, ready for departing tomorrow...

It will be sad to leave Tia's tomorrow, it has been really great to catch up with her, and it has been fantastic for Jay, as she feels that Tia Virgina is a close link to her mom... It will be great to return and stay for a longer period at some stage in the future...

Sorry Suzi... no sticker today... but we will be on the move again tomorrow!!!

  1. Oh boy, Jay and Linz,
What a wonderful time for both of you to spend time with family. And now, if possible, it will be with mine. I will phone them this evening to let them know more specifically that you are arriving. I also forgot to give you my cousin Jennifer's phone number. I don't want to put it here so I am sure John and Lucy can give it to you but if you have a mobile number that is active I can text you. Use my e-mail address.

  2. Niagara on the Lake is beautiful - you will love it; there's a wonderful Christmas shop that you just have to look at; there is also a quaint bandstand there that Janice and I had our photo taken at! It's such a lovely little place, you will love it.
Niagara Falls are fantastic and you MUST go on the Maid of the Mist - the roar of the water is simpy amazing and you might even see rainbows!!!
Enjoy - glad you are having fun.
    Hugs

"Believe me,you don't have to know.

Not so much that you render yourself helpless.
Helpless in the face of what Life brings next.

So make peace with knowing very little.

    About Love.

    About Others.

    About how life should be.

Make amends with how things are.

    Not knowing a thing,
    walking with gentle knees,
ready to drop to them,at any moment
    that Life dictates it.

    Keep an empty hand
so that it can be brought to your heart
    when a grief arrives.

Make up a bed that you can fall into
    as your own,comforting arms.

We come to find that Life is mostly quiet.
It asks us to live by our Knowing, while
    surrendering that very same thing.

    It vibrates easily around us,
    candid and benevolent.

    You see,it's only
when we root ourselves solid in some knowing again,
that Life seems to have to shout-

    rises,

    lovingly,
    from Its whisper."

  4. Hi girls!

    How cute is Tia?

Impressed she stood still long enough for the photo :0)

Canada's one of the places on my list & the falls are a big motivation as well.

Looking forward to the photos & the stories.

    Travel well.
