Acadia National Park...

***Miles travelled today: 105
***Total miles travelled: 401
***States travelled through: Stayed in Maine

(... so we finally figured out how to change the date and time... so these are now correct!!!)
Today has been another amazing day... the skies were blue, which made for some fantastic photos... we made our way to the Park... and purchased the Pass that allows you access to all the Parks across the country... (thanks for the advice on that Karen and Nigel!!!) We followed the ring road around part of the park, going up to Cadillac Mountain, which gave a fantastic view of the whole area... it was really breezy... but we made sure we got some photos... we then went into the town of Bar Harbour... (have added a website in our 'Handy Roadtrip Websites'... for anyone who wants to look up what a lovely place the whole area is... it's actually all on an island, called Mount Desert Island...) anyway, we did alot more driving and alot more exploring... actually venturing on foot - although it's still quite cold... we then stopped at a Lobster Pound... WOW!!! What an experience... we had to have lobster in Maine - we decided on a little real American restaurant... we were clearly the travellers!!! But once again, everyone was so friendly and helpful... tomorrow we are venturing inland towards Vermont!!!

  4. Hey there girls! Gorgeous pic.s - hope you've lots of memory cards.

That tip about the park access card has my vote for short listing it under the current top two most helpful tips.

Thanks for the website listing - thoughtful & love the extra info.

So what's Vermont's claim to fame? Cheese?

Came home with loads of soul-sucking, mindnumbing WORK (hope the word seems only vaguely familiar). And your blog qualified under 'escape-ism'
